How your donation helps
A gift of any amount is important.

$25 provides a week’s worth of meals for a mother and children living in our shelter
-
$50 provides two months of hygiene and laundry supplies for a mother and her children
-
$100 pays a staff advocate to spend a day at the hospital or court with a victim
-
$500 will sponsor a bedroom in the shelter (linens for four beds, curtains, rugs, lamps, hangers, etc.).

$1,000 provides a family with rental and utility deposits once they are ready to move into their own safe home!

Hope’s Wings does not charge domestic violence victims and their children for our services. This means that we provide them with free safe shelter, electricity, water, internet, telephone, food, laundry supplies, toiletries, clothing, medications, transportation, and professional services 24/7. The monthly cost for all of this is just over $22,000. While we are blessed to be able to provide these services, we cannot do it without the help of generous donors.

Did you know you can donate to Hope’s Wings by grocery shopping? The Kroger Community Rewards program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization (Hope’s Wings Inc), all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Rewards Card.
Item Donations
Donate your old cell phone to support the critical programs of Hope’s Wings and help our environment. Hope’s Wings collects and distributes working cell phones to victims of domestic violence so that they may call 9-1-1 for help in emergencies.

Additionally, Hope’s Wings greatly appreciates in-kind donations of needed items; they go a long way to helping provide the best environment for those who stay at our shelter.

Endowment Fund
Speak with us about making a gift from your DAF, IRA, stock portfolio, or confidentially creating an LHS endowment plan. The Hope’s Wing Endowment, managed by Bluegrass Community Foundation, is our financial vehicle to provide for the future of our organization.

Other giving options include gifts such as bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, Individual Retirement Accounts, or life insurance; or a gift of securities by donating appreciated stock, or other securities that you have held for at least a year.
